Hello there and welcome!

My name is Avital, and I'm an Israeli-born,

UK-based Celtic harp player.

I took up the Celtic harp back in 2008,

while studying at the Rimon School of Jazz and

Contemporary Music (singer-songwriter major).

Along with musician Ruth Danon, I've established

Menuet – Harp and Flute Duo, which was active for five

years prior to my departure from Israel in pursuit of

my academic studies.

I played at dozens of different events,

and have performed – with flute/violin, or solo, in four

different countries

(Israel, China, Jordan, and United-Kingdom).

My performances included playing at weddings, galleries,

ambassadors’ receptions, recording studios,

on national TV, and more.

About Me

My repertoire includes Celtic folk ballads (English,

Scottish, Welsh, and Irish) and some light classical music,

as well as arrangements for the harp of more

modern popular love-songs.

Currently a PhD student at the University of Cambridge

(researching music in early Chinese texts),

I am available for performances in the UK and abroad.

In summer 2017, I will embark on a

musical voyage with the harp throughout Britain,

which will be documented in music, text,

and image on this website.
